Course Components
Class Handouts/downloads
Weekly handouts will be available as Word documents linked from the "Handouts/Download" section of each week's document page. These materials support the class lecture/demonstrations as well as provide class content to learners who may have missed the class session. Assignments are included in the downloads.
Assignments
There is an overall assignment chart which summarizes the week by week activities for the course. More specific weekly assignment pages will provide all the information for the week as well as all of the learning resources that contribute to your learning about the weeks assignment.
Learning Object Resources
Learning objects include specific learning modules for the materials related to topics for the week. There are also additional resources to supplement classroom handouts and lecture/demonstrations that offer further information to support the weeks learning objectives. Level One resources are for learners who need information about how to do the functions and processes used in class. Level Two resources are for learners that understood the class materials and want to take it further with additional concepts and exercises. Level Three resources are for learners who already have a solid grasp of the week's material and wish to expand their abilities and try additional components.
News
The Course Weblog for the class is where current articles about web design/development are referenced by the instructor. The posts describe a new service or resource and information about why it is important to web design/development. The news articles will always reference the site where it was originated. There are also links to each learners weblog as well as links to some of the top web developer's weblogs as well as tools that are useful to the IMD learner.
Tutorials
The tutorials section leads to an annotated list of some of the better tutorials on the Web that assist those new to CSS and HTML with guides to further understand the concepts.
